About this campaign

Thanks to your generosity, we have already managed to deliver almost £100,000 of direct assistance to our UK-registered Syrian partners.

For the past ten years, the war crimes committed by the Syrian regime, and supported by Russia, have destroyed the lives of so many. People have lost their homes and loved ones, they have been forcibly displaced and suffered physical and mental anguish.

Today I am asking you to please give what you can to support the work of our partners on the ground. Your support will help them continue their vital work, which is needed more than ever.*

It has been 10 years since the Syrian Revolution began. 10 years since I was a 20-year old student in Aleppo, when I joined peaceful protests against the dictatorship in the hopes of a free and peaceful future for Syria.

The incessant attacks you saw in my documentary ‘FOR SAMA’ have caused tremendous destruction for so many years. The bombing of people and hospitals are just some examples of the horrors that continue even today. There is also torture, detention and the disappearance of anyone who dares to oppose the regime.

It has been ten years since we dared to dream of a life of freedom and dignity. It is sad that not much has changed in that time, but we also share so much hope for a better future.

While the world still refuses to protect Syrians, if you are able, please give what you can. We thank you for your continued support and for being with us in our fight for dignity

In solidarity, Waad x

I remember when the news of the hospital bombings in Syria reached Swedish news and I was appalled. Watching the "For Sama" documentary entrenched my feelings even more. My thoughts are with everyone who had to suffer and if I wasn't an unemployed student I'd donate far more.

I read Mrs Al-Kateab's story in British Vogue magazine, then watched For Sama documentary. I definitely was unawares of the horrors befalling the people of Syria. I want to help you as you continue to help those who desperately need it.
