An initial 42-day ceasefire came into effect on 19th January 2025. However there is still a huge threat from starvation, illness and lack of access to healthcare in Gaza. Almost two million Palestinians, almost half of them children, are living in unimaginable conditions with almost no access to food or water with humanitarian aid only now starting to trickle to where it is needed most. People returning to damaged or destroyed homes during the ceasefire face a high risk of injury and disease from contact with rubble, which contain asbestos, unexploded ordnance, and other contaminants
Following the escalation of violence in Southern Lebanon, around 115,500 people still remain displaced outside of their areas of residence. Many people who had rebuilt their lives in Lebanon as refugees faced weeks of bombardment in their new homes. Refugee camps are overcrowded as displacement rises and there are huge humanitarian needs.
Our network of incredible partners across Lebanon, Gaza and the wider region, are providing people with vital humanitarian support including food, shelter, clean water, clothing, support for mothers and babies, emergency medical support and psychosocial services.
As of 2nd October 2024, to reflect the humanitarian needs, we have updated this page from our All Eyes on Gaza campaign to include emergency fundraising for Lebanon too. As of November 7th 2024, with the situation escalating and the humanitarian need increasing, funds raised will support people affected in Gaza, Lebanon and the surrounding region.
We are holding our breath with hope for a permanent ceasefire, urgent access for critical humanitarian aid and safe release of the hostages.
Please donate what you can. Every penny will make a huge difference.
