I'm biking with Lucy, a lovely new museum friend and colleague to raise funds for Choose Love. We've devised a heart shaped route along the River Lee and up to Connaught Water in Epping Forest on Sunday 20 June for Refugee Week. 35 miles or so. I just hope I'm fit enough! The spirit is willing but I'm not so sure about the body. But the cause is really close to my heart. Choose Love do a fantastic job supporting refugees across the world and they've been my favourite charity for ages. Ever since I went to the Jungle refugee camp in Calais and welcomed Abdul as my new son I've been following the plight of refugees and asylum seekers in this country. Their lives are not easy. Many live in limbo awaiting Home Office decisions, many are traumatised from experiences in their own countries, many live in great poverty in terrible conditons, many grow up as children living for years in refugee camps.
So please donate as much as you can to our Heart Shape Cycle for Choose Love.
Love and many thanks
