About this campaign

Join me on my inspiring journey to cycle 18,000km around British and European coasts to raise crucial funds for refugees. I'm Claire Roberts, a social worker from Penmaenmawr, Wales, and I'll be living on just £7 a day—the same amount asylum-seekers in the UK receive—to highlight the daily challenges faced by refugees.
My adventure will lead me to the Kara Tepe refugee camp on the Greek island of Lesvos, a place I've previously volunteered during the European migrant crisis.

Along the way, I'll be camping and relying on the kindness of strangers, with any savings going directly to charities supporting refugees and displaced individuals.
The global refugee crisis has reached unprecedented levels, with 110 million people forcibly displaced due to conflicts and crises worldwide, according to the UN refugee agency. I aim to raise awareness and funds to support those in need.

I'll set off on June 1st, navigating coastal routes that echo the perilous journeys many refugees undertake by sea.
